Lunch Crush
About Me: I am going into my fourth year here at UCM where I am on the track team. On the track team I throw discus and hammer and lift 4x a week. I am a Physical Education major and have always loved any type of movement and coaching. My knowledge of the fitness world comes from my own experience as an athlete for going on for 10+ years, but also what I have learned through working in a Physical Education setting and adult fitness settings.
Class Goals: My goals with Lunch Crush are to provide those who attend to have a great foundation on exercise and fitness, along with challenging them each day. I also find it really important to push yourself outside of your comfort zone, and you will see me pushing you as well. You don't see change unless you get uncomfortable!
Fun Fact: I was at Northwest MO State for two years before transferring to UCM. Due to eligibility rules I had to go a year without competing so I will be involved in college athletics for a total of five years.

About Me: I am a staff member here at UCM in Housing. I started my fitness journey in 2018 and started taking fitness classes myself in 2019. Much of my skill, knowledge, and strength came from attending classes myself, like Lunch Crush and Tabata. I believe anyone can start their journey at any point and I hope people will start theirs with our classes!
Class Goals: I hope those who attend Lunch Crush get a feeling of accomplishment after completing the course each time. I hope members of Lunch Crush feel confident and excited each day. There is no reason to not feel confident. Even if it is your first time, you are learning as well as getting stronger. If it is your 100th time, you are challenging yourself to push past what you did the week before.
Fun Fact: After graduating UCM, I moved out east to live and work on Long Island for 4 years and found myself back "home" at UCM after my role was done out there.

About me: I am a staff member here at UCM and oversee the Learning Commons! I got into spin through my older sister who is also an instructor and have always loved the classes at Cycle Bar, Soul Cycle, and on Peloton.
Class Goals: This class is meant to bring fun to fitness. Participants can expect upbeat music and a judgment free zone. Your workout is between you and your bike and you can truly push yourself as hard as you'd like. My number one goal is to have participants feel confident, motivated, and welcomed regardless of if you are a beginner or an experienced cyclist.
Fun Fact: I have a twin sister!

About Me: I am a staff member at UCM and have been here since 2016. I started my fitness journey over 20 years ago with Pilates and Spinning classes occasionally. When the pandemic hit, I began exercising daily with the help of the Peloton app, which encouraged me to get more involved with yoga. After 4 years of practicing I decided to share what I love about yoga to others. I am a certified hatha and vinyasa yoga instructor.
Class Goals: My purpose for teaching yoga is to provide relaxation as well as strengthening for students. My classes will include asanas for all levels, inclusive of beginners all the way to advanced yogi’s
Fun Fact: I am a family nurse practitioner and work at the health center. If you get sick come see me!.

H.I.I.T, Pickleball
About Me: I teach 2nd grade at Ridge View elementary, andpreviously taught 3rd grade in Indianapolis! When I started teaching, I began to prioritize time at the gym because it was a space in which I could just be me, not 'teacher me'. I found myself loving group fitness and the community that surrounds it!
Class Goals: Through each HIIT class my goal is that every participant leaves with a sense of comradery and accomplishment. We will get better, faster, stronger - together! My hope is to make classes approachable for those who are knew to HIIT while also challenging those with more experience.
Fun Fact: I'm a BIG Gilmore Girls fan & I love a good game of Pickleball.
